Mental health

Mental health refers to all aspects of adjusting in life and managing life’s problems. It isn’t just the absence of mental illnesses like bipolar disorder or Schizophrenia, it is the presence of a well-adjusted, flourishing life.

Mental health is holistic. It involves understanding the environment, relationships, social contexts, behaviors, and the body with respect to feeling adequate, adaptable, and motivated.

At a granular level, it looks at motivation in everyday life, destructive thought patterns, conflicts between people, behavioral patterns that harm the individual, ability to handle everyday problems, and emotions.
