Mindfulness is easy. But confusing because of distracting traditions.

Mindfulness is easy. But confusing because of distracting traditions.

Mindfulness is NOT about Breathing.

Mindfulness IS paying deliberate attention to a Task without thinking too much.

LABEL

Breathing is a fast "vehicle" to teach that level of attention without thinking ....because breathing is the most automatic task.

Automatic tasks simplify mindfulness because they are low effort, which frees up your attention.

Starting point

You can be mindful during other habitual actions like cleaning dishes, driving, sex, playing music, etc.

Daily life

Being mindful means:  you have to pay attention to everything you can related to that activity, but no extra thoughts.

When you practice it via Breathing, you can graduate to less automatic tasks.

Teaching tool

Then.... Mindfulness itself becomes a habit.
